In 1880, "The Unique Boot Factory" was created in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England by three brothers, Thomas, John and William. In 1884 the factory moved to Wood Street, where you can still find it today, considered to be one of the most advanced and finest shoe factories in England.
Between 1939-1945 Loake included the manufacturing of boots for the soldiers of the British and Russian armies, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. Once the war ended, the fabric developed its own line of shoes and Loake is officially registered.
Today, after five generations and over 130 years, Loake has received a Royal Warrant of Appointment and opens its first store to the public in the heart of London.
Solovair brand belongs to NPS Shoes Ltd, and was founded in England in 1881. This shoe uses the "Goodyear" sewing method. In 1960, NPS and Dr. Martens collaborated to create the first pair of the legendary and iconic Dr Martens Boot. NPS / Solovair continued producing Dr. Martens boots under license until the mid 1990s.
In 1995, NPS patented the Solovair brand and began manufacturing its own "Air Cushioned Boot" using the same molds and patterns that were used to create the first Dr.Martens Suspension Sole boots in the UK.
We are proud to have in our store a brand with so many years of history and dedication.
Fred Perry Footwear was developed in the middle of 1950's as a direct consequence of the success of the classic Fred Perry polo. The demand was enormous and the diversity of the products covered an extensive variety of sports. As in tennis, Fred Perry Footwear equipped other sports like football, hockey, badminton, squash, as well as basketball between 1950 and 1980.
The new Fred Perry Footwear collection manifests itself with a more modern image combined with the brand’s inheritance. The use of traditional materials and identity signs are a proof of this.
From the beginning of the English subculture to the present time their products have been proudly worn by mods, soulboys, casuals, and indies.
