This is 1967, while England is still enjoying the victory in the Football World Championship and the miniskirt is becoming popular by Mary Quant and Twiggy, Merc, for first time opens the doors to the young trendy people of London in Carnaby Street, the most popular street among the youth dedicated to music, fashion and the new trends. A fashion icon for more than 30 years, the traditional style of Merc is inspired by styles such as Mod, Ska and Northern Soul and their musical roots.

Nowadays Merc's designs are still inspired by the 60's with a certain touch of actuality.

In 1999 Merc gave rise to a new and first Merc shop in a foreign country, keeping the origins and the style of the original trends of London. This shop was opened in Barcelona and precedes UK-Look.
